As sent to Ellie in February! “Loving the history and esp. the photos and stories from individual owners, although mainly US-based... starting in 1950, my grandfather and father have owned more than 10 - grandfather starting with a 300 in 1953-4, Dad a 220S in 1960. Dad had 8 various models plus a 280SL Pagoda for Mum, and I have had 5, from a 280E in 1979 to an E500, AMG ML63 to an E200 (a story there!) and now happily a GLC300. Love 'em.” Dad's others were 250SE, 2x280SE, 300 SEL 6.3, 350SE, 280CE. finishing with a 1981 450SEL 6.9, sold in 1997 for UK£10,000 in 1997.
